I am so over the skeptics
You would not believe the spam and the harassment that is around at present as the skeptics realize that crunch time is close.
There are two major groups of skeptics;
The first group are ultra conservatives who are wandering around head down and bum up burying their heads like a mob of ostriches trying to retain the status quo. Life never stands still and if you try to stand still you end up becoming increasingly irrelevant as life passes you by. A subset of the ultra conservatives is the religious fundamentalists and they come in a variety of shapes from all major religious groups.
The second group are the geologists who are funded by the mining industry and particularly the oil and coal industries. The conference that Australia’s Senator Fielding attended in the US was run by a group funded by ExxonMobil.
Interestingly only a few years ago Professor Plimer the vocal skeptic Australian Geology Professor was attacking many of his now allies because they also disbelieve evolution. What strange bedfellows.
It is all nonsense. What we need is environmental sustainability. We need good energy management and all around the world we need to encourage green business and we need to get moving fast.
I read a lovely comment about what happens to people who keep looking back at the past and /or simply want to say put (in the past) – if you spend you life looking backwards you don’t notice when you need to duck to avoid trouble from the future.
